An exclusive opportunity for dedicated optometry students and clinical practitioners to train directly under Aravind-certified surgical directors in a high-volume, super-specialty environment.
Theory provides the foundation, but clinical mastery is forged in the diagnostic suite. At Prasan Nethralaya, our internship program is not about passive observation. It is an immersive, rigorous clinical pathway designed to elevate your diagnostic acumen and patient management skills.
You will be exposed to complex pathologies—from advanced diabetic retinopathy to severe keratoconus—that standard clinics rarely encounter. We are looking for driven, ethical, and ambitious individuals ready to meet the highest standards of ophthalmic care.
Your clinical rotation will be personally overseen by our founding directors, providing you direct access to decades of high-volume surgical expertise.
Under Dr. Jaideep's mentorship, interns will dive deep into the complexities of the retina and optic nerve. You will learn the nuances of identifying retinal tears, interpreting advanced OCT scans for glaucoma management, and observing the critical preoperative workup for emergency vitrectomies and ocular trauma.
Dr. Neelam's rotation is an intensive dive into refractive precision. Interns will assist in comprehensive dry-eye evaluations, master the art of A-Scan biometry for premium multifocal IOL calculations, and learn how to analyze Pentacam topographies to screen candidates safely for LASIK and SMILE procedures.
A structured, hands-on clinical pathway designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world patient management.
Gain hands-on proficiency with industry-leading equipment. Learn to independently perform and interpret NCT, Auto-Refraction, A-Scans, and Pentacam topography.
Learn the art of clinical empathy. Shadow our doctors to understand how to explain complex diagnoses, surgical risks, and post-operative care instructions to patients.
Understand the stringent requirements of a Class 100 Modular Operation Theater. Learn NABH sterilization standards, CSSD management, and surgical prep.
Work within our advanced optical clinic. Master the fitting of progressive lenses and learn the specialized protocols for dispensing Rose K and Scleral lenses.
Interning at Prasan Nethralaya grants you access to an infrastructural standard rarely available outside of major corporate hospital chains.
This program is highly selective. We are looking for final-year Optometry students, recent graduates, and dedicated clinical assistants who possess a strong ethical foundation and a relentless desire to master ophthalmic diagnostics.
Send your updated CV and a brief cover letter detailing your academic background and clinical interests to our administrative team.
